Frequently Asked Questions

What is Timepiece Project?

Timepiece Project specializes in creating personal and heartfelt video documentaries that capture life stories, memories, and legacies, allowing individuals and families to preserve their history for future generations.

How does the video documentary process work?

Our process is simple yet thorough:
1. Consultation: We start with a personal consultation to understand the story you wish to tell.
2. Preparation: We provide you with guidance on how to prepare for the interview, including lighting, sound, and potential questions.
3. Interview: Conducted virtually by our professional team members, via a platform called Riverside, similar to Zoom. We capture your narrative through a guided session.
4. Editing: Our skilled editors piece together your story, integrating photos and videos you provide to create a cohesive documentary.
5. Review: You'll have the opportunity to review and request edits to the initial version.
6. Delivery: The final documentary is delivered for you to enjoy and share.

How long does it take to produce a video documentary?

The production time can vary depending on the package chosen, but typically the first edit is completed within 7-10 business days after the interview. Additional time for revisions and final touches should also be considered.

What do I need to do to prepare for my interview?

We recommend being in a quiet space with good lighting, preferably natural light. Ensure your device is fully charged and that you have a stable internet connection. Review the questions we provide and gather any photos or videos you would like to include in your documentary. If they are using their phone, we recommend having a tripod stand for their phone, or something they can prop their phone on while the interview is taking place.

Can I choose the stories or memories that go into my documentary?

Absolutely! This is your story, and you have full control over which memories and stories you want to share. Our list of questions is merely a starting point to help guide the conversation.

How can I send my photos and videos to you?

You can upload your digital files to our secure server. For physical photos, we recommend using a scanning app or service. We provide detailed instructions on how to digitize and send us your files.

Is my personal information and story secure with Timepiece Project?
